One Spouse Until Death? April 11, 2009

Biblically, you must stay with the same person(s) for life. However Male and Female are VERY different in how this plays out. You can, as a man, stay with two women for life, if all parties agree. But biblically, as a woman, you CANNOT stay with two men for life.

The bible teaches that Only the woman is bound to one spouse until death. The man can have one, or two or more. The rule of one spouse applies to WOMEN only. Not to men. Rom. 7:2,3 and 1 Cor. 7:39 Let me expand these Scriptures.

Romans 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

1 Corinthians 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

READ THOSE SCRIPTURES AGAIN -

Who do they apply to, men or women? Clearly women. There is no equivalent verse in the Bible which refers to Men being bound to one woman until she dies – it’s not there!

What has happened today? Someone, namely the Roman Catholic Church, has taken the bible, and not read it carefully enough. They also taught that a man must be celibate, to show he is “holy”. Where did they get that from? Not the Bible. The principle of celebacy or monogamy for men originated from Egypt, where the priests took vows of celibacy. However, the topic of our discussion is that Man can have several spouses at the same time, Woman, can just have her husband. This is called POLYGYNY.

Who Is My Husband?

All the women must now ask, who is the one to be bound to for life? Is it the one you kissed on your wedding day? Is it the one you signed a paper with in Civil Marriage? Or is it the one you have sex with as your regular partner … WHO is he?

The bible gives only one answer – it is the very man you gave your virginity to. You women all know who that is!

The laws of marriage of today, disregard this principle utterly. How it does this is quite subtle.

What if a man has taken the virginity of several women, what happens to them? Not all of them can marry the man, according to today’s marriage law. So these women cannot claim that principle of virginity = husband. Read it clearly:

VIRGINITY = HUSBAND

A man does not have a hymen, so cannot be a virgin. Think about that. So with a man virginity is non-existent. The principle is for women only.

The marriage law dictating monogamy is quite horrible, and a devious law to say the least. Every woman knows the meaning of losing her virginity and not getting it back for her current man.

I would like to hear from all the women who have found complacency in having a man she has given virginity to. It is simply the greatest blessing to remain with that man for life. And if he does get another wife, she too is a virgin. Therefore nothing is stolen from the marriage in Polygyny, if done right.

Why?

I said at the beginning “You can, as a man, stay with two women for life, if all parties agree. But biblically, as a woman, you CANNOT stay with two men for life.”

There are very good reasons for the distinction in sex. As a screenshot of the Bible, there are 8 points to know, memorize and take to heart:

The Woman:

1. Created as the glory of the man 1 Cor 11:7

2. Created from the man 1 Cor 11:8

3. Created for the man 1 Cor 11:9

4. Created after the man 1 Tim 2:13

5. She was the first one to sin and led others into sin 1 Tim 2:14

6. She is saved through the man in childbearing 1 Tim 2:15

7. She is now in subjection to the man 1 Cor 14:34, 1 Pet 3:5

8. And She must not teach the man 1 Tim 2:12 nor even to speak in church 1 Cor 14:35 but to ask questions from the man she gave her virginity to, privately.

This Seems Harsh?

But its the Bible! Read it again, all you women who profess Christianity. What do you believe? Do you believe just parts of the Bible, or the whole thing? I advise you to believe the whole Bible.
