Are You Holy? May 18, 2009

SANCTIFICATION IS HOLINESS and is the natural result of justification by faith. Knowing that Christ payed in full for all our sins naturally results in holiness, immediately – our working for God in full confidence of his acceptance. The Christian life naturally consists in good works, because these are the works of faith, or faith that works by love.

If this does not happen – if we do not have these works of love, our conversion was not thorough, we did not realise what we have been saved from, and we have every right to question whether we are saved. OR, if we have ‘good’ works without being justified by faith, the works themselves do not spring from a relationship with God, so it is NOT holiness.
.

The only cure in all cases is to sincerely and honestly confess all our own sins in detail till we reach the fountain of sin and totally break it up. This is needed because people feel as if they are willing to renounce all their sins, taken all together, or in the abstract. But take them up in the detail, one by one, and there are many sins they are unwilling to give up. And until they do, they can have no peace with God who sees all those little sins they have covered up.

SO, ARE YOU WILLING TO  RENOUNCE ALL YOUR SINS?

If so, then you will confess your sins now:
