About Me

I guess this all began way back in 1995.

I was in Swaziland and I came across a book called Daniel’s Seventy weeks. Up to this point I had a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and was baptised in the Assemblies of God. I also played guitar in the church in Mbabane. Well, at least, during the summer break (it was winter there). I also enjoyed listening to Keith Green music.

You see, I was actually a student at Imperial College in London, pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering. (I later obtained a Masters in Civil Engineering with Honours).

Always judged by my peers as a quiet guy, I had lots of time to be alone with God, either in Kensington Gardens, or around the Royal Albert Hall, or walking along the streets of Knightsbridge.

My story is quite a funny one when I think back. Well, back to 1995. I had read about Daniel’s seventy weeks, and to be honest with you, that book had all the incorrect interpretations – it was a product of Radio Bible Class, Our Daily Bread etc. Anyway, I honestly sought the Lord, I was 20 at the time. I asked God for help. Then he led me by the Holy Spirit to pray for 21 days, like Daniel. I can honestly say that was the Holy Spirit, because I would not naturally want to do such a thing. I would get bored after about 1 or 2 hours.

Well, I guess that was my first real encounter with the Holy Spirit. Naturally of course, as part of a Pentecostal denomination I spoke in tongues and ‘prophesied’ in the spirit wherever possible. But this was the first time God took me down an independent path.

Ever since then I have been on an independent path. Meaning, I never took what others told me, I first received it from God, and then get it from other people. So, I could know whether people were telling the truth or not.

I first wrote a booklet on Daniel’s seventy weeks which was rather based on what I learnt through the Tenets of Faith of the Assemblies of God. Therefore nothing new, seven year tribulation in the future, rapture before and so on. But there was SOMETHING to that booklet that God touched, so it was ‘anointed’. I also read through Revelation Chapter 12, and something unusual happened to me. All of a sudden the story became real. I could actually visualize the story, and also I got a panaromic view of the whole story told by the Christian Bible. I seemed to have a wider vision, and very clear and sharp feelings.

What I failed to mention was that I also got acquainted with Charles Finney at the time. Now this needs some serious comment. Charles Finney, as many people will know, was a seriously good preacher. Seriously. Now I have to mention the Church I went to in London because they will get the blame for producing a product called me. The church is the well-known London Church called Kensington Temple. With senior minister Colin Dye.

You see, I bought Charles Finney’s book in the bookshop of Kensington Temple. The book is called Lectures on Revival. I still have that book from 1995, I bought it again from the same bookshop in 2001, because I had lost the first one. I bought the last copy. It is now out of print.

But the Kensington Temple bookshop could easily have the book reproduced and printed if the church wanted to. It produces tons of books by Colin Dye and other authors. So that cannot be an excuse to not stock the book. This book is special, because it is different to practically every Christian book you will read today. To get a flavour, visit www.CharlesFinney.com – Read it one day and you will know why I say it. If you cannot get hold of it, I can provide you with an electronic version.

I also got a hold of a Barry Smith video in a small dry cleaner and christian bookstall in Swaziland. Thank God for Swaziland. It was a person in Swaziland who first recommended I look into Charles Finney.

Well, Charles Finney’s book did turn my life around, and I believe it will do the same for you as you are guided by the Holy Spirit.

The sad unexplainable fact is that Kensington Temple bookshop, which is one of the most influential churches in London, controls which books can be sold. It has deemed Charles Finney’s book unworthy to be stocked, and also Barry Smith’s books unworthy to be stocked.

HOWEVER, God can change that, just like how he found me, an insignificant person in little old Swaziland, and I now have www.CharlesFinney.com Just imagine if the giant Kensington Temple had control of that website? It would probably read “website down for maintenance”.

If you think I am something because of my degree at Imperial College, I am really nothing at all. My mother could not pay for my education, let alone University. The Government of Swaziland paid for my University, I got a full four-year scholarship. So I say again, thank God for Swaziland (look it up on a map if you don’t know where it is!).

And if you have anything to say against this website, then blame the Government of Swaziland.

What a lovely country! The rolling hills, I think about it now with fondness. I used to spent time on those hills walking, alone, praying (or trying to pray).

My story is funny, because I had to sleep on the street in 1999 for approximately 40 days, on the streets of London. How I would have preferred the hills of Swaziland! I take humour at this because it seemed like the time Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days, so it can’t have been that bad!

Once I had bought the Charles Finney book the first time in 1995, I read through it, and in 1996, the ’spirit started moving’ on me and began to pray for Kensington Temple for example, and perhaps as a direct result, the church had many blessings, and spiritual gifts and phenomena. So it is a silly thing to do for Kensington Temple to block off the very books that bring it a blessing! I sometimes think with sadness of where the church is today.

Maybe this same story can be told about many churches across the world.

After that, I graduated from Imperial College in London, and returned to good old Swaziland. However, something still stirred in me, and I did return to London again in 1999, after another significant experience.

I read through Charles Finney’s book AGAIN, and decided that it was time for some changes in my life. So, in seeking the Lord, for some odd reason that I do not know, I wrote a letter to my church at the time (a vineyard church) saying that the King James Bible is the only bible that ‘cuts the sinner in two’.

This is very Charles Finney language, and so foreign to the Christians of today. Also in his day there was no other option but the King James Bible. So he did not say King James Bible. It was me, who said it, I believe under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

It was only in 2004 when I started research into the King James Bible and completed the page www.charlesfinney.com/therealbible.php

So, all my experiences have been quite funny. I could tell of all the stories of things that have happened in my life, riches and poverty, but there are too many, maybe one day I will. This is just to introduce myself and to say welcome! And I hope you really do find life, as I say, the Christian Bible gives life to all who read it!

Be blessed and prepared for the next life, which lasts an awful long time. So get it right!

Watch And Pray

  • For spiritual discernment within the Church and a disposition to try the spirits and to prove all things, whether they are from God. (I John 4:1-3; I Thess. 5:21)
  • That Christians will look only to the Word of God as the foundation for sound doctrine and prophecy, rather than trusting in men, experiences, or their own understanding. (Prov. 3:5-7; II Tim. 3:16,17; Jer. 3:15, 23:28; II Pet. 1:20)
  • That pastors, teachers and other Christian leaders will not be deceived, but will warn and protect the flocks which are entrusted to their care and for which they will give an account. (I Pet. 5:2; Acts 20:28; Heb. 13:17; see also Jer. 23 and Ezek. 34)
  • That those who are false prophets posing as Christian leaders will be exposed, reproved, and their teachings rejected by the Church. (II John 10; Titus 3:10,11; II Tim. 3:8,9; Eph. 5:11)
  • That God will raise up men of true spiritual stature to contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints in Scripture. (Jude 3; Eph. 5:11)
  • That God will enlist people of prayer to intercede for the Body of Christ in these perilous times. (Eph. 6:18; I Pet. 5:8; I John 5:16)

I thank God for you, as you bodly declare truth and bring light to many topics that untill now were closed up to me due to my lack of seeking God through his Word, and the misleadind and conflicting advice i recieved from those i thought were Christians.
I too have been greatly arrested by the writings of Charles Finney, and thank God also for this servant.
I especially thank you for showing the truth about virgin wives and adultery etc, finally it all fits and the confusion i was taught has been removed. Oh what a stumbling block the lies have been to me.
The implications of the truth you have revealed is staggering to me, but nevertheless it must be boldly preached if we are to see revival i think.
May God bless and multiply your influence and effectiveness against error in this dark age. Arthur
